Jackie Earle Haley is one of those rare stars who worked constantly as a successful child actor, stopped acting for over a decade, and then suddenly came back to became a big star again. Haley’s breakthrough role was as a young baseball phenom in The Bad News Bears, but one of his earliest acting jobs was a small role as a little league player in a 1973 episode of The Partridge Family. Judging by this clip, this seems to be one of those weird sitcoms where the laugh track is constantly going off even while the characters aren’t actually making jokes!
