This is sad, sweet and funny all at once! These two kittens were diagnosed with myotonia congenita or “fainting goat syndrome”, which causes them to go into a temporarily paralyzed state every time there’s a loud noise, much like the goats in this video. The condition is extremely rare in cats, and I’ll admit that I find it pretty funny seeing these poor little kittens topple over at the slightest sound.
Sadly, the black and white kitten died yesterday due to respiratory failure. Rest in peace, Spike.
