Before They Were Stars: Benicio Del Toro in “License to Kill”

Javier Bardem’s performance in the newest James Bond film, Skyfall, is a case of an Academy Award winner playing a Bond villain, but let’s harken back to when a future Academy Award winner started off his career as a Bond villain. An unknown 21-year old Benicio Del Toro got one of his earliest roles when he was cast as the demented henchman Dario in the 007 vehicle, Licence to Kill. He pretty much stole every scene he was in and you could tell Benicio was going to be a unique and special actor with his priceless delivery of lines like this.
