Before They Were Stars: Patton Oswalt on “Seinfeld”

Given that Patton Oswalt was an up-and-coming stand-up comedian during the early 1990s, it’s only appropriate that one of his very first acting roles was a bit part on Seinfeld. He plays a video store clerk in the classic episode where George desperately needs to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s and tracks down the customers who rented it out in order to watch it at their place. On a personal note, as a former Blockbuster Video employee, I can certainly sympathize with Patton in this scene since I often had to deal with dumbass customers wanting me to call people at home to ask them to bring back their movie because someone else wanted to rent it.
