Before They Were Stars: Rose Byrne in “The Date”

In 1999, a young Rose Byrne starred in a 7-minute short film made in her native Australia entitled The Date. The storyline involves a young man having sex with a prominent politician’s daughter and since he used one of the politician’s condoms, he’s forced to go a wild journey to find a replacement. I must say, the final punchline of this short is wickedly unexpected, twisted and hilarious.
