Ghosts are real, this much I know.

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.

I’ve been waiting for quite some time now to see a glimpse of Guillermo del Toro’s new film Crimson Peak. Personally, I feel like del Toro has been on one long, perfect directorial streak ever since 2001 (though admittedly, I didn’t watch The Strain), with just about every movie he’s put out in the last 14 years being one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Will Crimson Peak deliver on its claim that this is his masterpiece, though? It certainly has the potential to be, with all its Hammer Horror charms and killer cast. I will be awaiting the arrival of this movie with great anticipation.

Crimson Peak comes out October 16, 2015.
