What would The Phantom Menace be without Darth Maul? And what would Darth Maul be without Ray Park? Today is his birthday – the man who brought to life pretty much the only good thing to come out of any of the Star Wars prequels. Darth Maul is a total bad-ass, and the epic battle between him, Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon is one of my favourites to watch. But Ray Park has also appeared in other major roles, in which you cannot see his true face. He was Toad in X-Men, Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and the stunt double for the Headless Horseman in Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow. And in the unlikely event that you missed it, be sure to check out his hilarious cameo in Fanboys as one of George Lucus’ security guards at Skywalker Ranch.
