I really enjoy the films of Alexandre Aja. High Tension and his 2006 remake of The Hills Have Eyes were both terrific horror flicks. Let’s just pretend Mirrors never happened, shall we? Anyway, Aja is back with another remake of a b-movie classic: Pirahna 3D! Finally, a 3D horror movie that looks like it’s just going for novelty value and tongue-in-cheek, campy scares! And talk about a cast! Ving Rhames, Elizabeth Shue, Christopher Lloyd, Richard Dreyfuss, Jerry O’Connell…none of them are exactly A-list actors, but they’re all people who we’ve enjoyed in the past, and just seeing Christopher Lloyd and Richard Dreyfuss back on the big screen will be worth the price of admission alone. I can’t wait!
