50 years after the Cuban revolution…a new one is about to begin! Juan of the Dead is a Cuban zombie movie directed by Alejandro Brugues, about a slacker named Juan who wakes up to find Havana overrun by zombies! In dire need of some cash, Juan decides to earn a buck or two by offering to kill peoples’ undead loved ones, since it’s just so darn difficult to do it yourself. I’ll admit I was initially skeptical about this one, since the Serbian zombie film Zone of the Dead was a complete waste of time, but after checking out these trailers I’ve gotta say – I’m intrigued. This looks like it could be really funny. Man, I hope it features a zombie Fidel Castro!
