The Banana Splits show ran in the 60s, but somewhere along the line my family picked up a VHS tape with a few episodes on it. My brothers and I watched the hell out of that tape.
This doesn’t capture all of the insanity that was the show (you can ask Gill about having seen it without having it as a childhood fixture for a frame of reference), but it certainly captures some of it. I dig the series of Hanna Barbera cartoon characters, though that one insect dude who says “Very interesting!” used to creep me out as a lad.
