Movies news websites all over are reporting that the new Christopher Nolan-produced Superman reboot, tentatively titled The Man of Steel has found its director: Zack Snyder! This is pretty wild news, as Darren Aronofsky’s and Matt Reeves’ names were attached to the director’s chair not that long ago. In fact, all the rumours being thrown around as to who the director would be are what kept any coverage of the new Superman film off the Back Row! I don’t like to report anything until there’s some hard evidence to support it. But just to contradict myself – word has it that the villain of the movie will be none other than General Zod! Could be cool. Anyway, The Man of Steel will probably get under production pretty soon if Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures hope to meet their 2012 release date.
I like Zack Snyder’s films, but I’m not sure how I feel about him directing Superman. I wonder how well his pop style will mesh with the man in the blue tights…
