The King’s Speech Will Probably Win An Oscar Just For This Trailer

We mostly featured trailers for genre films here on TBR, but I’m happy to make an exception for this one! The King’s Speech is based on the true story of King George VI’s struggle to overcome his stammer with the help of an eccentric speech pathologist and the threat of World War 2 draws ever closer. The film stars Colin Firth as King George, Geoffrey Rush as his speech pathologist, Helena Bonham Carter as his wife, as well as Michael Gambon and Guy Pearce in roles that don’t appear in the preview. I think this look pretty terrific, even though it’s obviously a piece of Oscar bait. But hey, it looks like a deserving one. I will definitely be seeing this.
