Cookie Monster Wants To Host SNL

We love Jim Henson and the Muppets here on TBR, so of course when a piece of Muppet-related news like this comes along, I just have to feature it. It seems that Cookie Monster was inspired by the Facebook campaign managed to get Betty White a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live and has started up his own online petition/campaign to get himself featured as host! Now, I haven’t watched SNL in quite some time, but I hear that it’s not particularly good these days. Could Cookie Monster be just the kick in the pants that the show is in need of? Or could featuring Cookie Monster drag the show down even more? Jim Henson puppets were featured on SNL ages ago, but would it work with such a known Muppet and today’s audience? I honestly have no idea. What do you think?
