The Future Is Now!

Okay, we’re officially living in the realm of science fiction. Word Lens is an iPhone app that translates text from signs into whatever language you want, without the use of an internet connection or really anything besides the app and your iPhone. You just hold up your iPhone camera so it can view whatever text you want translated and BAM! It translates it right there, and damn quickly. This totally blows my mind. Apparently the technology is not sophisticated enough yet to translate a book were you to point your camera at it, but I bet this could translate, say, a menu! Soon there will be an app where you can talk through your iPhone and it’ll translate what you say into a different language. Amazing, simply amazing.
