Before They Were Stars: Samuel L. Jackson in a Krystal Hamburgers Commercial

I wanted to do a “Before They Were Stars” feature on Samuel L. Jackson for his birthday and that would not be a hard task at all since the guy did an awful lot of small bit parts in films before he became famous. However, you know I just love finding the most obscure footage possible, so I decided going to go all the way back to 1975 when Jackson appeared in this black-and-white commercial for the fast food hamburger chain, Krystal. I’m not all that familiar with Krystal, but apparently, they are considered the southern equivalent of White Castle in the United States. Now… Samuel L. Jackson starting out his career shilling a hamburger… man, there are just too many Pulp Fiction jokes that can be made here! “Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast”.
