Before They Were Stars (2-for-1 Special): Julianne Moore & Marisa Tomei on “As The World Turns”

I was surprised to discover that I’ve yet to do a “Before They Were Stars” feature on anyone who got their start in soap operas because there’s an awful lot of talented actors and actresses that had to pay their dues on daytime before they moved on to bigger things. This particular clip from a 1985 episode of As the World Turns is a special one since it features two unknown actresses named Julianne Moore and Marisa Tomei in the very early stages of their career. Would anyone have ever predicted that there’s a combined total of seven Academy Award nominations in the future for these young ladies?
