Danny Boyle’s Frankenstein

Holy crap! How cool is this? Danny Boyle, director of Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, is directing a production of Frankenstein with the National Theatre Company! The play stars Benedict Cumberbatch (of the awesome BBC mini-series Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (of Trainspotting and Hackers), both of whom will take turns playing Victor Frankenstein and the Monster – as demonstrated by the morphing in this trailer. Why am I reminded of this Mitchell and Webb sketch?

I really wish that this production was coming to Canada at some point, because Danny Boyle directing Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller in Frankenstein just sounds like the most incredible thing ever.
