Before They Were Stars: Zac Efron in “Firefly”

It’s no secret that Firefly has one of the world’s most fanatic cult followings, but it did do one thing that some people might find unforgivable: unleashing Zac Efron on the world! Yes, Firefly gave Zac his very first acting role, casting him as the younger version of Simon Tam during some flashback sequences of this episode. The only possible thing that could have made for a larger disparity in fanbases than this would have been if Robert Pattinson had made his acting debut in an episode of Buffy.
