Before They Were Stars: William Fichtner on “As the World Turns”

Lately, I’ve been doing quite a few “Before They Were Stars” features on famous actors and actresses who got their career started on soap operas and went on to prove that they were far too talented for that. So far, I’ve found footage of Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei and Melissa Leo and now you can add William Fichtner to the list. His first major acting role was on As the World Turns in 1987 and it’s quite hilarious seeing Mr. Fichtner perform this laughably melodramatic scene in a wifebeater shirt.
