Matthew Vaughn is the director of only 3 movies that have currently already seen a theatrical release. He began in 2004 with Layer Cake, followed that up in 2007 with Stardust (a very underrated fantasy film, in my opinion), and then went in a brand new direction in 2010 with the truly great Kick-Ass. And with X-Men: First Class coming out this summer and Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall coming out next year, he seems to be effortlessly proving himself in the filmmaking world.
