Words cannot describe my excitement for this movie. True Legend is directed by the master of all action sequences Yuen Woo-Ping – the guy who delivered incredible scenes in The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, Iron Monkey and so many more, and it looks to be an action extravaganza of epic proportions! Here’s some plot:
Su Qi-Er is a wealthy man living during the Qing Dynasty who loses his fortune and reputation as a result of a conspiracy against him. After being forced out onto the streets, Su dedicates his life to martial arts and reemerges as a patriotic hero known as the “King of Beggars.”
There’s even drunken boxing, which is undoubtedly the coolest martial art to watch on-screen. And wait…is that David Carradine? I thought his last movie was this piece of crap El Dorado…
True Legend comes out May 13, 2011 in limited theatres.
