Well, I’m going to have to pull an old cliched expression for this one: you learn something new every day! It’s probably been over 20 years since I’ve watched the music video for Michael Jackson’s “Bad”, and I had no idea that it was directed by Martin Scorsese and starred an unknown Wesley Snipes as the rival gang leader. Actually, if you were watching the traditional short version of this video which only features the song, you wouldn’t see Snipes at all. The original version of “Bad” is actually an 18-minute short film that features an entire back story about the characters played by Jackson and Snipes. In this cut, you get to see Michael yell “You ain’t bad! You ain’t nothing!” at Wesley, but little did Michael know that he was saying this to a guy who would go on serve time in prison for INCOME TAX FRAUD!
