George Carlin is probably the most influential comedian who ever lived. His material was constantly pushing the limits of belief, of thinking, of language, and of censorship. And on top of his stand-up work, he can be enjoyed as an actor in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (and Bogus Journey, too), Dogma, Jersey Girl, Scary Movie 3, and of course, as Mr. Conductor in “Shining Time Station”. His death in 2008 went frighteningly under the radar, and I know all of us here on The Back Row miss him greatly.
