Zero Charisma, Roll A D6

Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews, the cinematographer and editor of the Troll 2-centric documentary Best Worst Movie, respectively, made this trailer as a kind of pitch reel for a movie they’re raising funds to make called Zero Charisma! Here’s a plot summary:

Scott Weidemeier spends his time in exactly three ways: working a menial job at a local donut shop, caring for his abusive grandmother, and running The Greatest Dungeons & Dragons Game of All Time. Though overbearing and short-tempered, Scott is a hero to his fellow players–that is, until neo-nerd hipster Miles Butler joins the game, fueling Scott’s rampant insecurity and alienating him from his own players. Can Scott overcome his contempt for the mainstreaming of nerdery, or will this clash of the subcultures come to a head?

For some reason, I’m getting a Clerks-for-RPG-nerds vibe from this idea, and that can only be a good thing! And while we’re on the subject of RPG nerds, here’s Connor Anderson’s parody of the song Like a G6 by Far East Movement, simply called Roll a D6.
