Dennis Hopper was an actor who was known for playing evil, demented, often psychotic villains before his death almost one year ago. He had been acting since the ’50s, appearing in “Bonanaza”, “Gunsmoke”, and Cool Hand Luke. He gave us works like Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet, and Hoosiers. Younger audiences would instantly attribute Hopper to Speed, Waterworld, “24”, and Land of the Dead. But people my age have another gem he is attached to. It is a terrible movie, but instills such a nostalgic feeling, it is impossible to forget. I am talking, of course, about Dennis Hopper as King Koopa in Super Mario Bros..
