Celebrity Birthday of the Day – May 30

Mel Blanc is a voice actor, and I believe that all of us here at The Back  Row owe a memorable part of our childhood to this man. A few of the voices he made commonplace in today’s society: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Woody Woodpecker, Pepe Le Pew, Sylvester & Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, Yosemite Sam, Speedy Gonzales, Marvin the Martian, Tasmanian Devil, Wile E. Coyote, Barney Rubble, Dino, and Heathcliff. Mel Blanc died in 1989 at the age of 81, and provided the voices for all the above-mentioned characters right up until his death, including in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? when his characters appear in Toon Town.
