Before They Were Stars: Crispin Glover on “Family Ties”

I did a “Before They Were Stars” feature on Michael J. Fox yesterday, so it’s only appropriate that I do one today for his Back to the Future cohort, Crispin Glover. Believe it or not, the two actors crossed paths a year before that film came out when Crispin made a guest appearance on an episode of Family Ties, playing a friend of Alex who wants to take him out drinking on his 18th birthday. There are unconfirmed reports that an alternate version of this scene may exist where Crispin goes up to the bar and says: “Lou… give me a milk! Chocolate!”.
