Dino De Laurentis was, in my opinion, one of the greatest producers who ever lived. In his lifetime he produced 166 movies, including such classics as Barbarella, Serpico, Flash Gordon, Conan the Barbarian, The Dead Zone, Dune, and Army of Darkness. He worked right up until he was 89 years old, and unfortunately ended his career with the terrible Hayden Christensen film Virgin Territory. De Laurentis died in 2010 at the age of 91.
