Terry Gilliam’s Do It Yourself Animation Show

I love Terry Gilliam’s animation, which makes this 15-minute by Gilliam on Bob Godfrey’s show in 1974 a real treat for me, because Gilliam spends all 15 minutes laying out the secrets behind his animation process. Turns out that Gilliam loves shortcuts, but in using them, succeeds in making his quirky little cartoons all the more memorable. Apparently Nick Park, creator of Wallace and Gromit was highly influenced by this show, and I can see why! After watching this, I feel a sudden need to get myself a webcam and do some animating.
