Treevenge

Over two years ago, I watched an hilarious Canadian short film called Treevenge, an ultra-gory horror story about Christmas trees finally reaching their breaking point after centuries of abuse and getting violent revenge on the humans. Well, I was delighted to recently discover that this was made by Jason Eisener, director of Hobo with a Shotgun! Like Hobo, Treevenge has absolutely no boundaries and relishes its depravity as even a little baby isn’t immune from the violent wrath of the Christmas trees! And they even use the musical score from Cannibal Holocaust too. I’ll just add that Treevenge is the “nature-gets-revenge-on-man” story that The Happening wishes it could have been!
