Jack Black is a Californian manchild turned entertainer. For all his manic, often totally insane comedy, he’s also a talented musician and front man for the ridiculous and awesome band Tenacious D. Black has appeared in numerous films, most of them comedies like School of Rock, Orange County, Be Kind Rewind and Tropic Thunder, but he’s also tried his hand at doing voice work in computer animated movies like Kung Fu Panda and Shark Tale as well as taking on some more dramatic and romantic roles in Margot at the Wedding and The Holiday. My personal favourite Jack Black role is in High Fidelity, and I can’t wait to see him in The Muppets. He turns 42 today.
