Tom Hardy is an English actor who has only been acting for a decade, but is already primed to be a huge Hollywood superstar with the release of The Dark Knight Rises, in which he plays the villain Bane. Hardy started off his career extremely strong with a role in the TV series Band of Brothers, and then followed by a role in Black Hawk Down. He then went on to act in Star Trek: Nemesis, Layer Cake, Marie Antoinette, RockNRolla, Bronson, the incredibly awesome Inception and the more recent Warrior. Now he not only has the latest Christopher Nolan Batman movie in his future, but he’s also in the upcoming adaptation of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy! This guy’s got such a bright future, he probably has to wear sunglasses when he thinks about it. Hardy is also quite the inspirational figure, as his youth was apparently spent battling drug abuse, but now that he’s made a full recovery, he’s ready to take the spotlight! He turns 34 today.
