Just the other day, I bemoaned to my friend Grant the fact that the anthology horror film has disappeared entirely, seemingly never to be seen again. How wrong I was! Chillerama is a spoofy homage to the drive-in movies of yesteryear, and was clearly influenced by the ingenious Grindhouse, but sports a much lower budget. Featuring four ridiculous and intentionally offensive films – one of which has quite possibly the greatest title ever: The Diary of Anne Frankenstein – even the trailer for Chillerama is guaranteed to piss people off with its poor taste. Seriously, I’d be careful about who you watch this with, as it comes pretty close to being NSFW. There is a giant killer sperm, after all. All that being said, I’m definitely going to have to look into this.
