Robert Maillet is one huge dude! Born in New Brunswick, he wanted to be a professional wrestler from an early age, and in 1997 he began wrestling in the WWF at first under the name “The Interrogator” and later as “Kurrgan”. After many years in the ring, Maillet made the transition to the big screen in Zack Snyder’s 2007 film 300 as the Uber-Immortal and has since appeared in the Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes as a huge French thug as well as the monster wrestling movie Monster Brawl – which we saw at the 2011 Fantasia Film Festival…and we even got a chance to meet Maillet in person! Maillet has two more noteworthy roles coming up in the film Immortals as a minotaur, and in the Guillermo Del Toro-directed Pacific Rim. Maillet turns 42 today.
