Since it’s Joel McHale’s birthday today and the “Save Community” movement is in full swing, it’s only appropriate that he get the “Before They Were Stars” treatment. Joel got his start by acting on a sketch comedy show in Seattle called Almost Live!, which had a very popular run on their local television station for fifteen years. He was a cast member on the show from 1993-1997 and, like Jeremy Piven’s early appearance on Seinfeld, you’ll probably notice with great suspicion that Joel had less hair back then than he does now.
