This past August, Burger King finally announced that their much-maligned plastic-headed “Burger King” mascot was no longer going to be used in their advertising. Maybe their next step should be to rehire the same casting directors they used for their commercials in the early 1980s as they somehow had a knack for finding actors who would move on to much bigger things. You can find old Burger King ads from that same time period that feature the likes of Lea Thompson, Elisabeth Shue, Andrew McCarthy and 4-year old Sarah Michelle Gellar, and now you can also add a young Meg Ryan to that list.
