Celebrity Birthday of the Day – November 30

Kevin Conroy is a man with a famous voice! He attended Juliard’s famous drama division in his younger years, studying alongside the likes of Robin Williams (his roommate at the time) and Kelsey Grammer. Following gradution, Conroy began touring with The Acting Company and performing in a number of stage productions. In 1980, Conroy decided to try his hand at television, and throughout the 80’s he performed several bit parts on popular TV shows like Cheers, Dynasty, Search for Tomorrow, Matlock. It was in 1992, however, that Conroy would land the role that would define his career: as the voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series. Since that show, Conroy has provided Batman’s voice in Batman Beyond, Justice League, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Batman: Gotham Knight, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and more! At this point, Conroy is basically the definitive voice of the Dark Knight, the standard by which all other Batman voice actors are measured. And that’s a pretty damn cool title to hold. Conroy turns 56 today.
