Kari Byron – the perfect marriage of beauty and brains. Byron is an artist and scientist whose claim to fame is the kickass TV series Mythbusters! She won her job as a co-host on the show by persistently showing up at Jamie Hyneman’s M5 Industries to bother him about getting a part on the show. She was finally tapped to help out with the Vacuum Plane Toilet myth and was made a regular cast member shortly thereafter. Since then, she has appeared on the series for the rest of its run except for a brief period when she took some maternity leave to give birth to her daughter. But she has since returned to Mythbusters and continues to prove that good looks and smarts aren’t mutually exclusive! A goddess to nerds everywhere, Kari Byron turns 37 today.
