Joe Walden, the brilliant cutter behind those awesome “The Works” series of video montages dedicated to different directors has made a wicked trailer mashup of Alien and the audio track from the trailer for its prequel Prometheus that’s so meta it just blows my mind! See, the trailer for Prometheus was modeled on the trailer for Alien, but the audio and sensibilities were just different enough that it gave Joe enough material to recreate the trailer for Alien in the style of the trailer for Prometheus! Confused yet?
