I’m kinda surprised that the only beauty pageant-themed “Before They Were Stars” I’ve done thus far was for Halle Berry as quite a few notable women have gone on to great fame after starting out on the pageant circuit. In 1978, when she was 19 years old, Michelle Pfeiffer represented Orange County in the Miss California Pageant, and while she did not emerge victorious and placed sixth, the host does mention that she’d like to be become an actress, so I guess she got the last laugh after all.
