I love a lady who can make me laugh, and Olivia Colman is one such lady. Trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, she began acting in numerous films and BBC, ITV and Channel 4 TV series following the completion of her schooling. Some of her more noteable work includes roles on shows such as Look Around You, Black Books, The Office, Rev., Skins, and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Mind you, these are her notable credits outside her work with David Mitchell and Robert Webb, whom she met when she studied briefly at the University of Cambridge. She’s a regular on the sketch comedy show That Mitchell and Webb Look as well as playing Sophie, the object of Mark’s (David Mitchell) affections on the hilariously awkward Peep Show. Although the majority of her work is in television, Colman has also made a few film appearances, including roles in Hot Fuzz and, more recently, The Iron Lady. She turns 38 today.
