Since I love The Warriors so much, I make a point of paying homage to its stars in the Celebrity Birthday of the Day. Michael Beck is an actor whose career peaked early with his role as Swan in The Warriors (only his fifth credit after The Hard Ride, Ryan’s Hope, Madman, and Holocaust), but in the years following that film, he garnered not one, but two Razzie nominations for his roles in Xanadu and Megaforce. 1984 marked the beginning of a long string of television work for Beck, as he made numerous made-for-TV movies and appeared on several notable shows including Murder, She Wrote, Babylon 5, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Nash Bridges. His last credit was a return to his most famous role as he provided the voice of Swan in the 2005 video game of The Warriors. Beck now lives in California with his wife, and may or may not be retired. He turns 63 today.
