Celebrity Birthday of the Day – February 6

Kathy Najimy is an actress whose career started off with a bang. In the early nineties, she performed stand-up and sketch comedy with Mo Gaffney on The Kathy & Mo Show, and also played small roles in The Hard Way, Soapdish, and The Fisher King, before her big break as Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act in 1992. After the success of that film, Najimy’s career took off in a big way, and she landed a starring role in Hocus Pocus as Mary Sanderson the following year, as well as returning as Sister Mary Patrick for Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. Since then, she has appeared in numerous popular films, including Bride of Chucky, The Wedding Planner, Rat Race, and Wall-E, and has played roles on TV shows such as Muppets Tonight, Hercules, Veronica’s Closet, Numb3rs, Ugly Betty, and, most famously, King of the Hill (as the voice of Peggy Hill). She turns 55 today.
