Actor Bryan Batt is best known for his role as Sal on Mad Men – a role which I feel didn’t get a very satisfying resolution (I blame AMC). Born in New Orleans, Batt is a graduate of Tulane University, and his parents founded and ran the Pontchartrain Beach amusement park. Bryan’s work has primarily been in the theatre with roles in plays such as Sunset Blvd. and La Cage aux Folles, but in 1995 he made the transition to film and TV with the movie Jeffrey starring Patrick Stewart. Since then, Batt has gone on to play roles in films including Kiss Me, Guido and Funny People, and has appeared on the TV series Rescue Me, Ugly Betty, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Ghost Whisperer, but no role can match the awesomeness of Salvatore Romano. Bryan Batt turns 49 today.
