Normally I’d try to write a lengthy introduction when beginning a Celebrity Birthday of the Day entry, but I’ll just come right out and say it: Ellen Muth has always been and will always be her character from the Showtime series Dead Like Me: Georgia “George” Lass. A show about a team of grim reapers just trying to fit in with society while taking souls, Dead Like Me was canned far too soon, in my opinion, even if it did eventually get a direct-to-DVD movie. Beyond Dead Like Me, Ellen Muth (pronounced “Mewth”) has appeared in Dolores Claiborne – her first film role – as well as playing roles on Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and will be seen soon in the films Rudyard Kipling’s Mark fo the Beast and Margarine Wars. She turns 31 today.
