Even though Linda Fiorentino’s studies focused on photography at the International Center of Photography in New York City, she is best known for her work as an actress. Her film debut was in the 1985 film Vision Quest, and it was in the same year that she appeared in the often-overlooked Martin Scorsese dark comedy After Hours, but it wasn’t until a decade later that she began to gain acclaim for her role in The Last Seduction. In 1997, she moved more into the mainstream with her role in Men in Black, and, later, the Kevin Smith film Dogma. Unfortunately, she hasn’t done a lot of acting since Dogma, and perhaps the most notable role she played was in the Garry Shandling movie What Planet Are You From? Linda Fiorentino turns 54 today.
