I don’t know what it is about movies based on Hasbro properties that appeal to me – maybe it’s just the nostalgic association with my childhood toys that attracts me to them – but for some reason, I just can’t resist the titanic stupidity that is Battleship. Much like G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the film just seems so ludicrous that I kind of delight in how overly dumb it is. Maybe it’s because I know that I will have fun ripping the film apart once I finally do watch it.
