Google Maps for NES

Disappointingly, I was so busy shooting a short film yesterday that I didn’t have a chance to pull any good April Fools Day pranks on anyone. But that doesn’t mean that Google didn’t get into the swing of things! They always come up with ridiculous, fun and hilarious April Fools jokes, but I think they may have outdone themselves this time with Google Maps 8-bit version! They’ve actually remade Google Maps using 8-bit graphics, downgraded the image resolution on Google Street View, and added all sorts of fun easter eggs like monsters to watch for. Thing is, this isn’t really a joke. They actually created this, and you can test it out by clicking here! Frankly, I don’t think this really even qualifies as an April Fools joke. It’s a work of art.
