The Avengers are close to assembled, and here’s another clip of the film. I’m beginning to wonder how much of the film we’ve actually seen at this point. Will I show up opening night only to discover that I’ve already seen 99% of the movie, and the 1% I didn’t see was the credits? I certainly hope not.
Anyway, here’s a first look at Cobie Smulders playing SHIELD Agent Maria Hill. I dunno, after seeing her on How I Met Your Mother, I really have a hard time taking her seriously in this part. It’s not that I don’t think she has the chops to play a more serious role – I just think that she should have done something a little more dramatic before jumping into a blockbuster superhero movie. It’s already difficult enough to take a big green giant, a Norse god, a man in a robot suit, and, well, Captain America seriously without being reminded of this:
