Celebrity Birthday of the Day – April 19

James Franco is one of those insanely talented individuals who could do just about anything. Check out this list of possibly careers he dabbled in or considered before settling on acting: marine biologist, mathematician, and intern at aerospace company Lockheed Martin! Franco started acting professionally in 1997 with guest appearances on TV shows like Pacific Blue and Profiler, and had a bit part in the 1999 film Never Been Kissed. In 1999 he also got his first big break on the short-lived TV series Freaks and Geeks. In 2001 he played a small part on The X-Files, and played James Dean in a made-for-TV movie of the same name. In 2002, Franco landed his first big film role in Spider-Man as Harry Osborn, a role which he reprised for the film’s two sequels. The success of Spider-Man lead to Franco getting many starring roles in the following years, in films such as Annapolis, Flyboys, Pineapple Express, Milk, Howl, Eat Pray Love, 127 Hours, Your Highness, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. He’s hosted SNL twice and the Academy Awards once, and at the time of this writing, James Franco is set to appear in no fewer than 10 upcoming movies between now and 2014. He just can’t be stopped! James Franco turns 34 today.
